Two books shipped in five weeks. Both live on Amazon. Both built off the same desk that runs the dashboards CrossVol publishes every day.
If you read this Substack for the desk-trader angle on volatility, positioning and cross-asset flows, this post is the index card: what is in each book, what is free to read on the site, and where to go next.
1. Beyond Gamma Exposure (paperback, 320 pages)
Beyond Gamma Exposure on Amazon — ASIN B0H2QSF3X1. Paperback, 320 pages.
GEX as a single number is a cartoon. The book lays out the four-lens framework we actually use on the desk: dealer gamma in context, vanna and charm dynamics around quarterly expiries, second-order skew/term-structure feedback, and the cross-asset funding leg most equity-only GEX dashboards ignore.
Five dated war stories, each one tied to a print on the tape:
August 2024 — the yen-carry unwind and the gamma vacuum on the way down.
October 2024 — the US rates repricing and how vol surfaces front-ran the cut path.
April 2025 — the tariff shock, the skew explosion, and what dealers actually did.
November 2025 — single-stock dispersion vs index vol, the AI-name concentration trade.
February 2026 — the silver squeeze, the COMEX/LBMA basis, and what happens when physical and paper diverge.
Free deep-dive on the framework on the site: the Beyond Gamma Exposure reading room walks through the four lenses with the same charts the book uses.
2. The China AI Disruption Thesis (Kindle, published 23 May 2026)
The China AI Disruption Thesis on Amazon — ASIN B0H11WH3R9. Kindle eBook.
Short, dense, dated. Five convergent shocks the sell-side is still pricing as independent risks:
DeepSeek V4 commoditization — inference cost curve collapsing toward open-weight parity.
Chinese hardware parity — Kirin X90 in the MateBook Fold/Pro lands at roughly Apple M2 multi-core, Hygon C86-7490 at 64 cores ~ EPYC 7763, Phytium past 10M units. Atlas 800 is the DGX-Spark equivalent already on the floor.
US grid bottleneck — PJM capacity auction cleared $329/MW-day. That number is the AI capex ceiling nobody on the equity side has discounted yet.
Hyperscaler bond wall — $145B+ in fresh USD IG supply YTD from the AI capex names. Credit is the asset class where this prints first.
Two dated catalysts — 10 November and 27 November 2026 on tariffs and critical-mineral export controls. Both are calendar risk, not headline risk.
Free thesis summary on the site: The China AI Disruption explained. Use it to decide whether the eBook is worth your evening.
3. The free online reading room
Both books have a companion section on crossvol.com/en/book. That hub links the chapter summaries, the framework write-ups, and the dated case studies. None of it is paywalled.
If you are coming from this Substack for the first time, the two entry points worth bookmarking are the BGE book page and the China AI explainer.
4. The terminal — seven asset classes
The dashboards behind the books run on crossvol.com/en/cross-asset. Coverage: Equities, FX, Futures, Futures Options, Rates, Credit, Commodities. Same data, one surface, no Bloomberg seat required.
There is also a training track if you want the framework taught instead of read. Same desk, longer format, with live Q&A.
Two CTAs, both one click:
Reviews on Amazon — even one line — move the algorithm more than any ad spend we could buy. If a chapter changes how you look at a print, leave the line.
